MeasurementResult

Displayed values round to 2 decimals. Calculations use unrounded inputs.

Bottom-area comparison only. Does not check pan depth, usable fill, taper, material, recipe rise, time or temperature. Not for Bundt, tube, shaped or irregular pans.

The formula

Round area = π × (diameter ÷ 2)² × pan count. Rectangular area = length × width × pan count. Recipe factor = target area ÷ original area.

BEFORE YOU BAKE

A useful starting point.

Bottom-area comparison only. Does not check pan depth, usable fill, taper, material, recipe rise, time or temperature. Not for Bundt, tube, shaped or irregular pans.

Record the original values before changing them. Switching mass or length units converts the same physical quantities; changing a pan, yield or formula basis changes the project.
