TOOL 03 / WEIGH THE STACK

Paper weight calculator

Estimate sheet and stack mass from paper dimensions and GSM, then add your own measured packaging weight.

LET’S GET THE NUMBERS RIGHT

No uploads, accounts or saved measurements.

THE WORKING PLAN

—

Enter your measurements to get started.

Estimates nominal material mass, not postal prices, dimensional weight, stock thickness, moisture variation or carrier acceptance. Weigh the assembled package if an actual shipping decision depends on it.

SHOW THE WORKING

How the numbers
come together.

Area per sheet (m²) = width (m) × height (m). Paper mass (g) = area × GSM × sheet count. Total mass = paper mass + your entered packaging mass.

A SMALL WORKED EXAMPLE

From inputs
to something useful.

A 210 × 297 mm sheet has 0.06237 m² of area. At 80 GSM, one sheet is approximately 4.9896 g, and 500 sheets are 2494.8 g. Adding 150 g of packaging gives a nominal total of 2644.8 g, or 2.6448 kg.
